Charles Parnell serves as Chairman of the Alpha Phi Alpha Foundation of Akron. Charles became the Foundation’s third Chairman, succeeding Charles Greene, CEO of Tomorrow’s People Inc. The Alpha Phi Alpha Foundation of Akron was established in 1988 by the late Judge James R Williams, Founder and first Chairman. Charles currently works as a Human Resources Recruiter, for Community Action Akron Summit. Before joining Community Action, Charles worked for 30 plus years in the Pharmaceutical Sales Industry. Charles brings a strong background in change management, organizational management, strategic planning and teambuilding. Charles has experience serving on boards both present and past. Prior, Akron Project Grad Board, Former Vice Chairman Arlington Church of God, University of Akron Sports Alumni and current University of Akron Black Alumni Council. Charles has a Passion for community work and is actively involved with coaching high school football. He is a life-long resident of the Akron area. Charles promotes strong family and church values. He and his wife Mary currently resides in Fairlawn where they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.
