Atty. Charles L. Greene, Chairman Emeritus and Trustee
Alpha Phi Alpha Foundation of Akron Board

Attorney Charles L. Greene serves as trustee of Akron’s Alpha Phi Alpha Foundation. He is also Emeritus Chairman of the Alpha Phi Alpha Foundation, succeeding the late Judge James R. Williams, the founding member of the foundation. Attorney Greene is also Emeritus Vice President of Kent State University and emeritus professor of Sociology and Anthropology of Kent State University. He worked there from 1970 to his retirement in 2000. Attorney Greene is founder and Senior Partner of Davison and Greene Law Firm and, President, and founder of Tomorrows People’s Consultant Firm, which was founded in 1971. In 1967 Charles L. Greene created the East Akron Block Club Association, which was central to revitalizing that community, it was done under the East Akron Community House. Robinson school was saved from closing, the community now has a bank and grocery store. Attorney Greene and his spouse, Delores, live in Tallmadge, Ohio and attend St. Paul AME Church, where he helped create, and chair the Harold K. Stubbs Scholarship and Awards Program which have awarded over $4,000,000.00 in scholarships the past thirty-four (34) years.
Attorney Greene is a member of the President’s Council of Kent State University, the Circle of Excellence at the University of Pittsburgh and a charter member of the Deans’ Club at the University of Akron’s Law School.
He and Delores have three adult children, Charles II (Colorado), Cory (Atlanta), and Keli D. Greene (Akron).
